The Family Homelessness Task Force (FHTF) would like to invite you to join us at a Family Homelessness Summit on Monday, June 19th from 8:30AM to 1:00PM to participate in a conversation with City, State and housing and service provider stakeholders about how we as a community can best address family homelessness.
The Summit will take place at the Eisner & Lubin Auditorium at theNYU Kimmel Center for University Life located at 60 Washington Square South and a light breakfast will be served.
Since September 2016, the FHTF, a group of approximately forty stakeholders, has convened to call attention to the needs of homeless children and their families and to develop and advance recommendations to prevent and end family homelessness, while ensuring the well-being of families while in shelter. The FHTF recognizes the significant efforts of the City and the State to end the City’s homelessness crisis. The recommendations, which will be shared at the Summit, are intended to build upon the important work underway by strengthening existing initiatives and proposing new and impactful approaches.
