CCC’s 2016 Justine Wise Polier Symposium was a presentation and discussion of the new strategic plan for the New York City Family Court, highlighting how the court has changed over the years as well as focusing on new initiatives underway to ensure timely resolution of cases and improve permanency outcomes for children.
This past year marked the first time in two decades that the Family Courts in New York City experienced an increase in the number of judges overseeing critical decisions related to children and families. These new resources provided a unique opportunity to examine how the courts function in achieving their mission to protect the rights of families and children and to set forth a series of efforts to enhance the work of the court system. Join us for an evening to learn more and to reflect on this key milestone in the history of the City’s court system at a special event in honor of the lifelong accomplishments of the Honorable Justine Wise Polier, a renowned jurist and children’s advocate who was one of the founders of CCC.
