Medicaid is a public health insurance program offering many low-income New Yorkers access to free or affordable health care coverage. Many provisions stemming from the Affordable Care Act of 2010 (widely known as federal health care reform) and New York State Medicaid Redesign aim to improve the accessibility and delivery of health care for Medicaid beneficiaries.
This CCC Policy Briefing focused on the changes that will be coming to New York’s Medicaid program, with a focus on both opportunities and challenges for New York’s high-needs and underserved families and communities.
