With citywide elections upon us in New York City, it is a critical time to ask the question — what comes next in our collective efforts to make our city a better place for every child?
The data in Keeping Track provide the foundation for a robust dialogue at the local level about where we have seen progress in recent years and where more must be done to ensure that every child is healthy, housed, educated and safe.
Unquestionably, there are many indicators for which overall trends in New York City are positive. However, amidst the good news is the fact that far too many children continue to face multiple barriers to their well-being.
Each guest at this event will receive a copy of the new edition of Keeping Track. The publication is designed to serve as a desk reference for Keeping Track Online, CCC’s free, state of the art, web-based resource that enables users to explore hundreds of indicators related to the well-being of New York City’s children and map where risks concentrate and where community resources are located.

Welcome remarks from Jennifer Raab, President of Hunter College
Introductions by Jennifer March, CCC Executive Director
Presentation and discussion of key findings from Keeping Track with Apurva Mehrotra, CCC’s Director of Research and Data Analysis and Marija Drobnjack, CCC Data Analyst
11:15 a.m. – 11:55 a.m. CCC staff will also provide a tutorial of Keeping Track Online for guests who are interested in staying.
