- Learn how to conduct hands-on research, such as public polling and site visits.
- Meet with government officials to discuss your ideas for improving New York City.
- Become a better leader through problem solving and critical thinking.
- Strengthen your communication and public speaking skills.
- Make lifelong friends with the diverse group of your peers in the program!
“The YouthAction Community Leadership Course at Citizens’ Committee for Children was an experience that I will never forget. It changed the way I see myself and the community around me. I no longer view myself as someone insignificant to change or as someone who has no say in how my community is run. This course gave me my voice.” –Coryrn Colon, Spring 2012 YCLC graduate
