NYC Community Profiles

The potential undercount of children in the 2020 Census may be different in each NYC community.

Using information on data.cccnewyork.org, CCC created profiles for all 59 Community Districts in New York City.

These profiles highlight the share of households in each community who may face barriers to participating in the 2020 Census, such as limited English proficiency or lack access to broadband internet, as well as low-income households and households head by a single-parent who are at risk of being undercounted, which contributes to the undercount of young children.

Every Child Counts NYC! is a CCC campaign advocating for a fair and accurate count of all children living in New York City. By educating and mobilizing youth and adults, we will reach our goal to provide the information and tools needed to ensure children are counted and not erased in the 2020 Census.
