CCC’s Summary of Actions Taken to Restore Services to Children in City Fiscal Year 2013: Including Full Restoration of Child Care and After-School for Over 47,000 Children

The City Council and the Mayor negotiated an Adopted Budget for City Fiscal Year 2013 that restored over $150 million to fully restore child care and after-school for 47,000 children, increase the Early Learn child care rate, and restore additional services for children.

In addition to child care and after-school programs, the restorations include $1.25 million for mental health services for children under 5, $7.17 million for runaway and homeless youth services, $1.9 million for child welfare staff and $5 million for child health clinics, among other restorations.
