CCC testified in support of raising New York State’s minimum wage at the New York State Assembly Committee on Labor hearing on April 23, 2012.
The New York State Assembly proposed legislation to raise minimum wage from $7.25 per hour to $8.50 per hour and adjust it annually for inflation. Given the financial insecurity faced by so many New Yorkers, including those working very hard for minimum wage, CCC testified in full support of this bill.
