CCC Testimony: New York City Council Committee on Mental Health, Mental Retardation, Alcoholism, Drug Abuse and Disability Services Hearing on Fiscal Year 2013 Preliminary Budget Proposals

CCC submitted testimony about the impact the Fiscal Year 2013 Preliminary Budget would have on mental health services for children and their families for a March 19, 2012 City Council Mental Health Committee Hearing on the Fiscal Year 2013 Preliminary Budget.

CCC testified about the devastating impact the cuts proposed in the Preliminary Budget would have on children. The testimony focused on the proposed cuts to eliminate the Mental Health for Children Under Five initiative, the Autism Awareness initiative and the suicide prevention hotline, as well as the cuts to city contracts for mental health services for children.

CCC urged the City Council and the Mayor to restore these critical services for children.
