CCC Testimony: City Council Hearing on Resolutions Calling for Breakfast in the Classroom (BIC) in all New York City Schools.

CCC testified in support of two Proposed Resolutions aimed at expanding the Breakfast in the Classroom program (BIC) to all New York City schools at a June 20, 2012 New York City Council Education Committee Hearing.

CCC supports these resolutions because the BIC program provides in-classroom breakfast to children at the start of the school day (rather than in the cafeteria before school starts), and is a proven way to help ensure children eat a healthy breakfast every weekday morning. Proposed Resolutions 910-A and 911-A call upon the New York State Legislature and Governor Cuomo (910-A) and the New York City Board of Education (911-A), to support Breakfast in the Classroom program (BIC) in all New York City schools.
