November 7, 2012 CCC Celebrates 2012 Successes at Annual BreakfastCCC’s 2012 Celebration Breakfast brought 500 supporters together to honor child advocates, recognize achievements and join forces to prepare for the significant challenges ahead. Laurie Garduque, Director of Justice Reform at the MacArthur Foundation, delivered a powerful keynote highlighting New York State’s leadership in Juvenile Justice reforms such as the Close to Home initiative. Honoree Alexandra Herzan urged everyone to put CCC’s Community Leadership Course on their bucket lists and NY Daily News columnist Albor Ruiz praised CCC for our efforts to shine a light on the needs of New York City’s children and families. CCC Executive Director, Jennifer March-Joly, presented an infographic illustrating how investments in early prevention services, including early care and education and youth services, are critical to improving outcomes for New York City’s children while calling on all to join CCC in upcoming advocacy for more sustainable systems to support high quality and affordable services for all NYC families. Juju Chang, master of ceremonies, announced an exciting new $25,000 matching challenge for first time donors.
