May 30, 2016 CCC Raises Over $1 million at MoMAOver 700 New Yorkers gathered for a private evening at the Museum of Modern Art on May 17th to celebrate CCC’s mission to ensure that every child is healthy, housed, educated and safe. ►View a photo gallery from the event At the event, CCC honored Jacques E. Brand, former CEO of Deutsche Bank Americas, for his leadership in leveraging the intellectual and financial resources of the institution to drive innovative solutions to the challenges faced by New York City’s children, youth and families. Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation has a long-standing tradition of social responsibility and corporate citizenship, undertaking philanthropic efforts designed to encourage sustainable community development, promote wider access to quality education, and foster economic and social mobility for underserved communities. “With one in three children living in poverty across the five boroughs, we know that we have significant challenges to overcome to the address the inequities facing our city’s children and families,” said CCC Executive Director Jennifer March in her welcome to guests at the event. “We also know that the solutions to these challenges can be downright practical. Over the past several years our advocacy has resulted in the creation of full day universal prekindergarten for 4 year olds, universal after school programming for middle school students, and free lunch for middle school students. Yet, even in the face of progress, there are pressing issues that must and can addressed. By being here, you are helping CCC improve the lives of New York City’s 1.8 million children.” ►Watch remarks by Jennifer March and Jacques Brand The event raised over $1 million for CCC’s research, community education and advocacy on behalf of NYC children. CCC owes a great debt of gratitude to the event’s Chairs, major corporate and individual supporters–including our lead sponsor Deutsche Bank–and the many dedicated Benefit Committee and Junior Council members who donated their time and effort to our special event. We are so grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate our honoree and support CCC! We hope you will #BePartoftheSolution and continue to help improve the well-being of all New York City children:
