Sophia Halkitis

Sophia Halkitis is a member of CCC’s Research and Data team, and is primarily responsible for maintaining and updating the data in the Keeping Track Online tool. In conjunction with this work, she assists with CCC’s own data collection efforts. Sophia is an experienced researcher who is passionate about disseminating data in a way that is informative and transformative for children and families in NYC. Prior to joining CCC, she worked at a public health research center at NYU, where she conducted both qualitative and quantitative research and data analysis focused on advancing research and knowledge to improve the lives of those affected with or by HIV, substance abuse, and mental health burden in NYC. During her time at NYU, she also helped to author several scholarly publications and reports to New York State, to inform the current dialogue on these issues and address public health disparities. Sophia holds a M.A. in Data Analytics and Applied Social Research and a B.A. degree in Sociology and Psychology from Queens College, CUNY.
