Elysia Murphy is responsible for CCC’s communications and community engagement activities, including managing efforts to expand CCC’s presence in the media, web and social media and supervising staff managing the adult and youth Community Leadership Courses. Elysia came to CCC with more than ten years of experience providing strategic planning, communications and government relations support to social service leaders in city government. She worked in a variety of roles for the city’s Administration for Children’s Services, including Deputy Press Secretary, Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, Deputy Director for Communications, and Chief of Staff to the Executive Deputy Commissioner. Prior to joining CCC, Elysia was Senior Director for Marketing and Communications for Safe Horizon, a leading victims services agency in New York City. Elysia earned a BA in Communications from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
