Arlette Ferguson Mathis

Arlette Ferguson Mathis took CCC’s Community Leadership Course in 1998, served on the Advocacy Council in 1999 and was invited to join Board of Trustees in 2000 where she served as Secretary, Vice President of Public Affairs, and Vice President of Nominating. In 2018, she was elected as President.
Mrs. Ferguson Mathis has been an advocate for youth in New York City for over 25 years and has dedicated her life to volunteering. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she has always had a passion for empowering and supporting youth in her community. Through her work at the Junior League of Brooklyn where she was a Past President, Chair of Nominating and Corporate Giving Chair, she led many programmatic efforts and formed partnerships with local stakeholders that provided young people the opportunity to thrive and succeed in school and the workforce. Currently she serves on the board of the Brooklyn Youth Chorus and is a Sustainer of the Junior League of Brooklyn.
